How to get your dental practice recommended by AI assistants

Patients ask assistants about dentists the way they would ask a friend: who is gentle with nervous patients, who takes my insurance, who can see me this week. A practice that answers those questions publicly gives an assistant something to quote.

Updated October 30, 2026 · General information, not a guarantee of any result.

The questions patients ask

  • “Best family dentist in [city]” or “dentist for kids near [area]”.
  • “Emergency dentist open Saturday in [city]”.
  • “Dentist that takes [insurance or public scheme] in [city]”.
  • “Good dentist for anxious patients” or “sedation dentistry [city]”.
  • Treatment-specific: implants, Invisalign-style aligners, whitening, root canal.

Make the answers public

  1. 01A page for each main treatment you offer, with who it is for and what a visit involves.
  2. 02A clear page on insurance, payment plans and which schemes you accept, kept up to date.
  3. 03Emergency and same-week availability policy written down, with real hours.
  4. 04Dentist bios with qualifications and registrations you actually hold.
  5. 05Dentist structured data (schema.org) with address, hours and accepted payment.
  6. 06Consistent details on Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, and the professional or insurer directories patients use.

Stay inside the rules

Health advertising is regulated in most places. Do not claim outcomes, “best in the city” titles or patient results you cannot substantiate, and follow your dental board’s rules on testimonials. Being accurate is also what makes you safe for an assistant to recommend.

Questions

Will an AI assistant recommend a dentist based on reviews alone?

Reviews are one input. Answers that can name a specific treatment, location and availability usually draw on several sources, including the practice’s own site and directories.

Can I ask patients to mention AI in reviews?

No need. Ask for honest reviews that describe their visit. Scripted reviews read badly and may break platform rules.
