llms.txt and LocalBusiness schema generator

Type your business details once. Get an llms.txt file, a plain AI-readable summary, a schema.org LocalBusiness JSON-LD snippet and a checklist of what helps AI assistants describe you correctly. Free, no account, and it runs entirely in your browser.

This tool runs in your browser. What you type here is not sent to our server and is not saved. Closing or reloading the page clears it.

1. The basics

Exactly as it appears on your sign and listings.

2. Address and contact

Leave empty if you serve customers at their place and have no public address.

3. Hours and services
4. Key pages and profiles

Start with your business name. The llms.txt file, summary, JSON-LD and checklist appear here as you type.

How to use what you generate

  1. Fix the facts first. Copy the NAP line and make your website, Google Business Profile and other listings match it exactly.
  2. Put the one-sentence summary near the top of your homepage, as text.
  3. Add the JSON-LD to your homepage and test it. Every value should match what the page shows.
  4. Upload llms.txt to your site root if you can. It is optional and quick.
  5. Re-check what AI assistants say after the changes have had time to be crawled. There is no fixed timetable.

What this tool can and cannot do

It writes your own facts in formats that software reads easily. It does not check whether those facts are right, look at your website, or know how any assistant ranks businesses. llms.txt is a proposed convention, and no major assistant has said it uses the file to choose local businesses. Treat these files as tidy-up work, not as a way to be recommended.

Nothing you type is uploaded: the files are built by code running in this page, and downloads are created in your browser. The page still makes the same background requests as every page on this site, such as loading its files and counting the page view. None of them include what you type.

Questions

Is what I type sent anywhere or saved?

No. The generator is plain code running in your browser tab. Your business details are not sent to our server, not saved, and not used to train anything. Reloading or closing the page clears them.

Does it use AI?

No. It fills fixed templates with exactly what you typed and guesses a schema.org type from your category with a simple word list. The same input always gives the same output, and it never invents facts about your business.

What is llms.txt?

A proposed convention, described at llmstxt.org: a short Markdown file at the root of a website that summarises the site and links its key pages for language-model tools. It is not an official standard, and the major AI assistants have not said they use it to choose local businesses. It costs little to add, but a clear website and accurate listings matter more.

Will this get my business recommended by ChatGPT or Google?

Nobody can promise that, and we do not. These files make your details easier to read and harder to get wrong. Whether an assistant names you depends on many things outside your control, such as what other sites say about you and how the question is asked.

Where do I put the files?

Upload llms.txt so it opens at yourdomain.com/llms.txt. Paste the JSON-LD snippet into the head of your homepage, or into the custom-code setting of your site builder, and check it with Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator. Only publish values that match what your page shows.

What does the free AskedAboutYou scan add?

The scan asks AI assistants five customer-style questions with live web search and shows the replies word for word: whether you were named, who was named instead, and which pages were cited. It tells you what assistants say today; this tool helps you fix what they read.
